Rabat Mayor Fatiha El Moudni elected President of Metropolis' Board of Directors

At its first Board of Directors meeting of 2025, Metropolis elected Rabat Mayor Fatiha El Moudni as its new Board President. The Board also welcomed new members and approved the network’s first-ever associate member.

Following a tribute to outgoing President Barthélémy Dias for his visionary leadership, El Moudni expressed her commitment to continuing the organization’s mission:

"I'm proud to acknowledge that the presidency of our organization will continue to be occupied by an African leader. We are halfway through our mandate, and our mission remains more resolute than ever. We will celebrate our achievements and reflect on future challenges together in our 40th Anniversary Congress later this year. Let's uphold our commitment and make Metropolis a driving force for a more equitable and resilient future for all communities."
