Kartepe Summit and Urban Fair
The current urban and metropolitan challenges are strongly related to the quality of public spaces, the governance innovations, and frameworks that foster city-to-city collaborations and collective learning. This event was an opportunity to share some of the lessons and proposals that could help policymakers find the ideas to implement policies and projects to find human-centered solutions based on all the initiatives uploaded by city leaders worldwide on our platform Cities for Global Health, the lessons from the Emergency Governance Initiative and the drawing contest Metropolis Through Children's Eyes.
Three main ideas could define the message:
-
Leadership by empathy
-
Foster cooperative learning across municipal borders.
-
A gender approach in any policy-making process.
