The Value of Associate Membership

Associate Members play a crucial role in sustaining Metropolis' mission. By committing to our shared vision and upholding our values, they contribute to a culture of trust, collaboration, and impact.

Associate Membership is open to not-for-profit organizations such as think tanks, research institutions, and non-governmental entities, whereas full membership as a member city is reserved for subnational governments responsible for urban planning in large cities and metropolitan areas.

The annual membership fee of €10,000, set by the Board of Directors in January 2024, ensures equitable participation and ongoing program support.

Example of Engagement: The Guangzhou Academy of Social Sciences
