Training on Governance
As globalization and localization have been accelerated rapidly, various urban
challenges such as aging, unemployment, urban regeneration, environment and
multi-culture have been spread widely. As a paradigm shift of solving those urban
challenges, ‘Governance’ newly attracts the attention in the city administration.
In 2019, Seoul Metropolitan Government inaugurated “Seoul Democracy
Commission” in order to seek the new ways of collaboration with citizens to tackle
metropolitan urban problems & issues. The training course will introduce Seoul’s
best “Governance” policy practices and other cases with participating cities.
Main objectives:
- To provide an opportunity for the foreign city officials to enhance
the capacities in governance, management, institutional system, etc.
- To establish a platform to exchange in-depth learning from experts
in the related area and to share good practices among participants
