The Institute for Planning and Development Management of the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area (IMEPLAN) developed the Study on Migration Processes in the Guadalajara Metropolitan Area to contribute to the compilation and systematisation of data and information on migration processes in the metropolis. The aim of this study is to support and promote the construction of technical instruments and public policies that favour integration processes and the protection of human rights in a situation of human mobility.

In line with the vision of the metropolis and its international action, the presentation of the study will take place within the framework of the activities of the annual celebration of World Metropolitan Day, promoted by UN-Habitat and Metropolis. This year's theme is #CrossingBoundaries, to continue the elimination of the social and physical obstacles that divide the urban and metropolitan fabric, and to raise awareness of the meaning of governance and collaboration between different municipalities and institutions.

Presentación del Estudio sobre los procesos migratorios en el Área Metropolitana de Guadalajara

El Instituto de Planeación y Gestión del Desarrollo del Área Metropolitana de Guadalajara (IMEPLAN) desarrolló el Estudio sobre los Procesos Migratorios en el Área Metropolitana en el Guadalajara para contribuir a la recopilación y sistematización de datos e información sobre los procesos migratorios en la metrópoli, a fin de sustentar y propiciar la construcción de instrumentos técnicos y políticas públicas que favorezcan los procesos de integración y de protección de los derechos de personas en situación de movilidad humana. En alineación con la visión de la metrópoli y con su actuar internacional, la presentación del Estudio se realizará en el marco de las actividades de la celebración anual del Día Mundial Metropolitano, impulsado por ONU-Hábitat y la red Metropolis. Este año la temática es #AtravesandoLímites, para continuar en la eliminación de los obstáculos sociales y físicos, que dividen el tejido urbano y metropolitano, y dar a conocer qué significa la gobernanza y la colaboración entre distintos municipios e instituciones.
