The Euskal Hiria Congress has been held in the Basque Country since 2002 and seeks to promote the debate on the Territory, the city and the rural habitat in the context of the Basque Country. For two days, professionals and experts from the Basque Country and other national and global contexts meet to exchange experiences in relation to the challenges and opportunities that currently characterize the territories and cities, focused through a specific thematic area. In this edition, the Congress will focus on the need to intervene in the territory and in the inhabited environments to achieve a green socio-economic recovery. With this objective in mind, various initiatives oriented both to the development of planning instruments and intervention processes will be discussed and presented. 

In this edition, the celebration of Euskal Hiria 2021 will take place on November 29 and 30 in Vitoria-Gasteiz, and will be attended by international experts and experts from the Basque Country, as well as from other parts of Spain. The event will be co-organized by the Department of Territorial Planning, Housing and Transport of the Government of the Basque Country and UN-Habitat.

El Congreso Euskal Hiria, se celebra en Euskadi desde 2002 y buscar promover el debate sobre el  Territorio, la ciudad y el hábitat rural en el contexto del País Vasco. Durante dos días, profesionales y  expertos vascos y de otros contextos nacionales y globales se reúnen para intercambiar experiencias en  relación a los retos y oportunidades que caracterizan actualmente a los territorios y a las ciudades,  enfocados a través de un ámbito temático concreto. En esta edición, el Congreso se centrará en la   necesidad de intervenir en el territorio y en los entornos habitados para lograr una recuperación socioeconómica verde. Con este objetivo, se reflexionará y se expondrán diversas iniciativas orientadas  tanto al desarrollo de instrumentos de planificación como a los procesos de intervención. 

En esta edición, la celebración del Euskal Hiria 2021 se llevará a cabo los días 29 y 30 de noviembre en  Vitoria-Gasteiz, y contará con la participación de expertos internacionales y del País Vasco, así como de  otros lugares de España. El evento será coorganizado por el Departamento de Planificación Territorial,  Vivienda y Transportes del Gobierno del País Vasco y ONU-Habitat.
