Since 2009, Fuzhou International Fisheries Expo(FIFE) has been successfully held for 10 sessions. It has become the fourth largest professional fishery exhibition in the world and the second in the country. In June 2020, Fuzhou Municipal People's Government, Fujian Provincial Department of Ocean and Fisheries, Taiwan, Hong Kong and Macao Affairs Office of the Fujian Provincial People’s Government, 21st- Century Maritime Cooperation Committee and China Fisheries Association will continue to co-host the Fuzhou International Fisheries Expo(FIFE) and Global Fisheries Communication and Cooperation Conference. It aims at inviting government officials, experts and scholars, industry associations and industry representatives from global major fishing nations and regions and cities as the maritime cooperation strategic pivot in the core area of the 21st Century Maritime Silk Road, to discuss on hot and difficult issues of common concern such as fishery cooperation and resource conservation around the theme of strengthening fishery cooperation and achieving win-win development.
