A policy-oriented conference, in Turin and online, to present the outcomes and celebrate the conclusion of the project ESPON METRO - The role and future perspectives of Cohesion Policy in the planning of Metropolitan Areas and Cities.

During a full year (October 2020-2021)eur, ESPON METRO brought together Metropolis and other 10 stakeholders (out of which four are members of our association) to analyse and compare the role of the European Union's Cohesion Policy in the process of planning and implementation of metropolitan policies, addressing experiences and practices, as well as their territorial impact, in the nine metropolitan territories: Barcelona, Brno, Brussels, Lisbon, Lyon, Gdańsk-Gdynia-Sopot, Florence, Turin, and Riga.

This event aims at attracting the participation of national and international policy-makers and experts interested in the topic of metropolitan governance, and will be of particular relevance for actors involved in the preparation of strategies and policies for the development of metropolitan areas in Europe.
