Capacity Development for Metropolitan Management

Within the framework of the World Metropolitan Day 2020 and Urban October campaign, UN-Habitat launches the MetroHUB Tool Kit for Metropolitan Management and in alliance with the National University of Colombia presents the post-graduate programme on “Spatial Analysis, Metropolitan Management and Governance “, through a virtual event in which participants will have the opportunity to exchange ideas about the role of universities in generating skills and specialized knowledge to better manage metropolises and advance in the development of a metropolitan discipline in Latin America.

 

The content of the event will contribute to promoting the development of tools and capacity-building programs to reorient the way in which cities are planned, designed, financed, developed, and managed:

  1. Launch and presentation of MetroHUB ToolKit for Metropolitan Management.
  2. Consolidation of Metropolitan Discipline: The Role of Universities in Metropolitan Management.
  3. Launch and presentation of the Post-graduate Programme in “Spatial Analysis. Metropolitan Management and Governance”, of the National University of Colombia
