bilateral meeting with Open Society Foundation

  • I met former colleagues at Open Society Foundations and Alfonsina Peñaloza at Co-impact (a philanthropic fund) to get some advice and contacts, mostly with the intent of mobilizing resources for work around Care and Caregivers. My overall impression is that there will be opportunities to mobilize philanthropic resources for cities and/or for some Metropolis activities on the issue of care. However, we are still a few steps from that. We need to find the exact people in the right institutions, understand their interests, present them good options. Lots of work still until we see a dollar of philanthropic money, but I did come back with a good list of people to contact.
