Barcelona City Council launched a dialogue to reactivate the city after the pandemic. The event gathered experts, city leaders and thinkers from Barcelona and around the world in a hybrid event (on-site and on-line) in order to rethink how to build a more resilient, competitive and sustainable city.

The critical questions of the debate were around if the green economy was still relevant because of the consequences of the pandemic and if cities can promote circular economy and develop a practical agenda around the SDGs. Our Secretary General was invited to take part in the session around the economic opportunities arising from the ecological and green transition. He shared the views and priorities of Metropolis as well as some specific experiences from its members.
