Mexico City will host the fifth edition of the Global Social Economy Forum (GSEF), an important international forum that will take place for the first time in Latin America.

The GSEF 2021 will be a unique opportunity for dialogue, analysis and exchange of experiences, challenges and solutions among the main global actors of the Social and Solidarity Economy (national, local and regional governments, sector organizations, civil society, academia, experts, public and private institutions and international agencies) around the key role of the SSE in mitigating the economic and social effects of the global crisis by COVID-19 and the recovery of our cities and countries, in the transition towards a sustainable and inclusive development and, consequently, in the fulfillment of the global development agendas.

Likewise, this meeting will be a propitious space to make visible the potential of the Social and Solidarity Economy in Latin America to promote well-being, based on the construction of inclusive, solidarity-based, sustainable and resilient cities; and to establish international networks and alliances that strengthen the promotion and outreach efforts of the SSE in the territories.
